Windows and Doors

The Windows and Doors Campaign supports the restoration of original historic elements of the Howell House, one of the Garden’s most iconic structures. Handsome, solid wood doors feature iron strap hinges, peep holes, knockers, and leaded glass. Sixty-six windows and associated steel lintels, which support the stone masonry above each opening. All of these lintels need to be replaced, adding significantly to the total cost of the project. These original features are not only essential to the building’s character and charm—they are also in urgent need of repair to ensure the house remains safe, functional, and welcoming for all.
