Forest Bathing

Forest Bathing
$30.00

Sunday September 21 | 1 - 4pm | Meet in the Visitors Center

Slow down and experience the garden in a new way. Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, is the practice of mindfully connecting with nature through the senses. Guided invitations will help you notice the details around you—light through the trees, the sound of leaves, the rhythm of your own breath. Unlike a hike, forest bathing is less about reaching a destination and more about cultivating presence—awakening your senses, reducing stress, and fostering a deeper connection with nature. Participants will be gently led through mindfulness-based invitations to observe, reflect, and restore. No special equipment or prior experience is needed—just comfortable shoes and an openness to the moment. The class will begin with some standing yoga, meditation, and tension release exercises.

Maybe add that my yoga cert is 500 hr.

Certified Forest Bathing Guide, Simon Bradbury, M.S., CPRP, will lead the session. Simon is dedicated to connecting people with nature, supporting health and wellness through outdoor experiences, and fostering inclusive, welcoming spaces. Simon holds a 500 hour yoga teaching certification and is an instructor for Warriors at Ease, a trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness program for the military community.
